Celebrating Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage is not only necessary, but of utmost priority. This is what informed the celebration of Cultural Day in some schools, where everybody will dressed in gorgeous indigenous cultural attires. Various songs in our local languages from Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, and others is sang to thrill the audience. information and News was also cast in Yoruba and Igbo languages.
The essence of the cultural Day in the lives of the students is to teach the students the spirit of unity and love. There are many cultural groups in Nigeria, the students are to be seen as one despite their different ethnic background but what brings us together is the name Nigeria.
As a school, the classroom is where you see students from the Igbo culture, Yoruba Hausa and other cultures sitting down to receive lectures. They also stay in the same hostel together. We try to imbibe in them that spirit of unity for them to work together and live together, and we believe if this is extended to different homes our country will be in love and unity.
