THE 6TH LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL PASSES VOTE OF CONFIDENCE IN OLUGBANI’S LED ADMINISTRATION

The Seven members of the 6th Legislative Council of Apapa Iganmu Local Council Development Area under the leadership of Arakunrin Adigun Abdullahi Arogundade unanimously passed a vote of confidence in Hon. Jimoh Olawale Saliu, the Executive Chairman, Apapa Iganmu Local Council Development Area in recognition of the his efforts to make Apapa Iganmu more prosperous.

On Education, OLUGBANI has continuously showed interest in improving educational opportunities for all with distributions of GCE, JAMB/UTME and Holiday Coaching. Hon. Jimoh’s giant strides in making Apapa Iganmu great has earned the local government approval to build the first public Secondary Schools ever in Apapa Iganmu which will begin construction soon. 

Also with the proposed standard flagship healthcare center in Ireti Owoseni waiting for state approval, the people of Badia and of course the entire Apapa Iganmu will no longer travel in kilometers before accessing healthcare facilities.

The OLUGBANI administration had also within ten months stabilised the payment of workers’ salaries and pension of retirees, increased the welfare benefits of the staffs and ensured peaceful and orderly community safe for all through a joint security operation.

In human capacity building, Hon. Jimoh’s led administration sponsored four (4) grassroots football coaches to National Institutes of Sport (NIS) for professional coaching courses which will add value and boast our sporting activities. 

He has also sponsored 10 youths in Apapa Iganmu to National Institute of Information Technology (NIIT) for digital skills development. 

“OUNJE OLUGBANI” was another great initiative towards social intervention program to cushion economic inequality. 

Road construction is ongoing in Makanjuola Street, Sari Iganmu to add with the completion of Akinola Street, Ward B, and Rehabilitation of Amusu Street in Ward E.

With all these and unmentioned proposed projects in the 2027 budget, we are optimistic about the progress of Apapa Iganmu LCDA under the leadership of Hon. Jimoh Olawale Saliu.

As representative of people at the ward level, the Legislative Council is urging the people of Apapa Iganmu to keep supporting the OLUGBANI’s administration as this collective backing is necessary to actualize the government's long-term reforms in Apapa Iganmu LCDA.
