⁣The Apapa Iganmu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has entered into a strategic

partnership with 7Up Bottling Company Plc for the comprehensive renovation and upgrade of the Sari Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Iganmu, Lagos.⁣

⁣

The development was announced on Wednesday following the conclusion of discussions between the council and the management of 7Up Bottling Company Plc. The agreement was further reinforced during an inspection visit to the health facility located on Adekunledeen Street, Sari, Iganmu.⁣

The inspection team was led by the 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐩𝐚𝐩𝐚 𝐈𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐦𝐮 𝐋𝐂𝐃𝐀, 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐉𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐡 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐮, alongside the Head of Sustainability Department at 𝟕𝐔𝐩 𝐁𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐏𝐥𝐜, 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐲𝐧 𝐎𝐤𝐨𝐲𝐞. Also present were the Council Manager, Mr. Lateef Omokayode Badmus, the Council Engineer, Engr. Gbenga Oyedele, and other executive members of the council.⁣

During the visit, stakeholders assessed the current state of the facility and identified critical areas requiring intervention as part of the renovation project.⁣

⁣

Speaking during the inspection, Hon. Jimoh expressed gratitude to 7Up Bottling Company Plc for its commitment to improving healthcare delivery within the community. He described the intervention as a significant contribution to grassroots healthcare development and called on other corporate organizations to emulate the company’s example by supporting community-focused projects.⁣

Mrs. Okoye disclosed that the renovation project would go beyond infrastructural improvements to include 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭. According to her, the goal is to transform the health centre into a comprehensive, one-stop facility capable of providing quality healthcare services to residents.⁣

She explained that the Managing Director of 7Up Bottling Company Plc was particularly concerned about the health and well-being of members of the host community, which informed the company's decision to undertake the project.⁣

Mrs. Okoye added that the company intends not only to improve the physical structure of the health centre but also to provide the necessary medical equipment required for efficient service delivery.⁣

She further noted that the upgraded facility would enable patients to receive diagnosis, laboratory analysis, treatment, and follow-up care in one location, thereby improving access to quality healthcare services.⁣
